The Vai Literacy Association is a non-profit non-denominational organization founded in 1987 by some concerned Cape Mountainians under the supervision of some Lutheran Missionaries. Its aim is to teach Vai people and other interested individuals how to read and write the Vai Language, using the indigenous Vai syllabary system/Vai Script. Over the years of existence, the Association has made some significant progresses in achieving its objective in the following areas:

Dear Members, Friends, and Supporters,

The National Association of Cape Mountainians in the Americas (NACA) has established a reputation for helping to address some of the pressing needs of the people of Cape Mount County, Liberia.

We must not only celebrate past accomplishments, but must move forward with even more determination to make a difference in the lives of our less fortunate brothers and sisters, especially given the global economic down-turn. Fundamental elements of all of NACA's initiatives shall be partnership and local participation.

Free Obituaries for Members

Consistent with NACA's Benefit Incentives, the organization will publish free death announcements on its web site for NACA members and their immediate family members. These include wives, husbands and children.

NACA will also carry death announcements for other family members for half the price it would charge for nonmembers. NACA members wishing to publish death announcements on this site are encouraged to immediately contact 609-954-0193/215-868-2822.
