New NACA Administration Agenda and Priorities
The new administration of the National Association of Cape Mountainians in the Americas (NACA), Inc. is near completion of transitional activities and is gearing up for an aggressive agenda for the upcoming year. We are requesting your continued material and moral support, as we seek to move forward in unity.

4. Revitalize Cape Mount Development Foundation for improved effectiveness and self-sustenance.
5. Standard processes for more efficient operations.
6. Establishment of metrics to steward and communicate progress.
7. Focus on youth involvement to ensure continuity.
NACA has a history of accomplishments, especially in the areas of Healthcare (St. Timothy Hospital Outpatient service, Midwives training, etc.) and Infrastructure (Konja Bridge, in progress). We are also teaming up with partners in the areas of Education and Enterprise. NACA intends to leverage “Plan 180”, a framework for collaboration based on common vision and values with the goal of attracting resources globally to expeditiously accomplish the vision of NACA and the people of Grand Cape Mount County. The Reconstruction Committee has developed a project pipeline and detailed project proposals that address many of the priorities outlined in the Cape Mount County Development Agenda (www.emansion.gov.lr/CDAs). NACA is committed to aligning and coordinating its projects with the vision and spirit of the Grand Cape Mount County Development Agenda.
Important projects under consideration for the upcoming year include:
Completion of the Konja Bridge in Porkpa District
The Konja Bridge initiative led by NACA addresses the first of three common development priorities listed by all districts within Cape Mount County. Through partnerships, over $60,000 (US) has been raised and expended to complete phases 1 and 2 of this project.

To complete the bridge (i.e. Phase 3), an additional $20,000 (US) is estimated to cover manpower compensation, additional materials and food. Grand Cape Mount County leadership is committed to finding ways to bring this grassroots initiative to successful completion.
The campaign to raise funds to complete this project during the dry season continues. Donations to the Konja bridge project can be made directly online at www.givemeaning.org/project/konjahcreekpwnage. As shown in the photos below, the industrious citizens of the area built a temporary wooden floor to allow pedestrian traffic across the river during the rainy season.
