On behalf of the national administration of NACA, the New Chapter is pleased to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all the guests and members that supported and attended the 2009 Reconstruction Conference in New England. With the economic hardship facing the nation, we recognized your valuable sacrifice to the people of Grand Cape Mount County.

The 2009 Reconstruction Conference was modified from the pervious years to accommodate with the current economic situation, allowing members and potential supporters to contribute to NACA with less financial burden. For the precise reason, the conference was designed as a single day venue.

The main goal of this year’s conference is focused on supporting education, intended for text books, teacher incentives and scholarship. Meanwhile, we seek consideration to complete the Konja Bridge project and partnership with organizations to implement others critical development necessary for our people. To certain degree, this was achieved during the conference through our network prospect with Plan USA, an organization that had long work in Cape Mount per civil war. We are also building prospective relationship with Mr. Sesay Johnson, founder of Liberia Rural Development Project (LRDP), focused on healthcare and education.

In spite of the current economic Situation, we are pleased to report that the 2009 Reconstruction Conference, New England forum generated a total amount of $1778.00. This amount was generated without requesting any fund from the national administration. Thankfully, the total cost of the conference was entirely contributed by Members of the New England Chapter through local fundraiser. Of the total revenue generated, $200.00 was paid toward the DJ service and $1000.00 was submitted to national. The host chapter formally request from the national leadership to retain the balance of $578.00 for the chapter’s up-keeping.
