NACA Commitment to Education in Grand Cape Mount County as #1 Priority

NACA dispatched its president, Willie Givens, Jr. and its Chairman of the Education Committee, Edward Fahnbulleh to conduct a first-hand assessment of the condition of junior and senior high school education in Cape Mount and determine how we can partner with other stakeholders to address the current situation. A Cape Mount County Stakeholder’s meeting was called by Mr. Givens to address the following;

Konjah Bridge Status Update (March 2010)

The National Association of Cape Mountainians in the Americas (NACA) Inc., a 501c3 organization incorporated in the United States, joined the people of Cape Mount to embark on the construction of a serviceable bridge across the Konja Creek in Porkpa District, Grand Cape Mount County.

Cape Mount Association Raises Nearly $200K in Four Years

The National Association of Cape Mountainians in the Americas, Inc. (NACA) raised nearly $200,000.00 in four years to support reconstruction activities in Grand Cape Mount County, the association’s outgoing President, Abraham G. Massaley has disclosed. Mr. Massaley was speaking recently at the just ended Fifth National Convention of NACA, which convened near Atlanta, Georgia.

Momo was among two persons and one US based non governmental organization that received the 2008 NACA Distinguished Service Award, the highest Award of the National Association of Cape Mountainians in the Americas, Inc. presented annually to individuals and or institutions that are dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people of Grand Cape Mount County , Liberia.

Cape Mount Health Officer Extends Gratitude to NACA

February 26, 2007

Dear Mothers and Fathers, Brothers and Sister, and Ladies and Gentlemen;

I send you greetings on behalf of the Grand Cape Mount County health team and the people of Grand Cape Mount County. May the good God bless you all.

Your humble Son, brothers, and friends, was on January 1, 2007 appointed by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare to the position of the new County Health Officer for Grand Cape Mount County, replacing Mr. Momodu Sombai who is now the Community Health Department Director.

Proposal for Junior College in Robertsport and high schools throughout Cape Mount

The President of NACA, Abraham Massaley has called for the establishment of at least one high school in each of the four districts and a junior college in Robertsport as well as a vocational center in Mano River. "even though NACA does not have the capacity to build high schools, I believe we can assist the county administration in lobbying with the central government and others to improve the quality of education in the county" Massaley urged his fellow Cape Mount citizens at the third National Convention in Atlanta, Georgia on September 30, 2006.

Superintendent Khasu Congratulates NACA Officials on Re-election

Grand Cape Mount County Superintendent, Hon Catherine Watson-Khasu has congratulated officers of the National Association of Cape Mountainians in the Americas, Inc. (NACA) on their re-election. NACA National President, Abraham G. Massaley, National Vice President, Dr. H. Momo Fahnbulleh and National Secretary General Abu Zoeduah were re-elected unopposed at the third National Convention of the Association on September 30, 2006 in Lawrenceville, near Atlanta, Georgia.Mrs. Jebbeh Jangaba of the NACA New England Chapter was also elected National Treasurer of NACA.

Seven-Member Board for Cape Mount Foundation in Liberia

The National Association of Cape Mountainians in the Americas, Inc. (NACA) has constituted a seven-member Board of Directors to oversee the affairs of the Cape Mount Development Foundation, NACA's implementing agency in Liberia.
